YOUR BRANCH

• The Shrewsbury Labour Party (CLP) covers the parliamentary constituency of Shrewsbury.

• It is organised into five Branches which are a collection of Electoral Districts (Wards). The Shrewsbury and Women’s Forum also has the status of a Branch.

• Your local branch is your first port of call for getting involved.

• Branches normally meet once a month. You should receive notification of all your branch meetings from the branch secretary at least a week before the meeting is to be held.

• Any member in the branch can submit and vote for motions at meetings.

• Branch officers (chair, secretary, treasurer at a minimum) are elected at the branch Annual General Meeting (AGM).
