Our Priorities for Shropshire Council

The Conservatives have mismanaged Shropshire Council into an alarming financial crisis. Delivery of the services residents depend on are under threat. Damaging choices, made by the Conservatives, have led to 60% of the council’s budget being spent on external contractors. Huge spending cuts to services have been made over the last two years.

Vote Labour to change this.

Labour councillors will work for greater financial stability changing the focus from external contractors to local, direct delivery of essential services. We will strive for a more efficient council that provides good local jobs and drives up service standards.
