General Election 2017 Results

Although very disappointed not to win, Shrewsbury and Atcham Labour Party is delighted to have made gains above the Labour national average. We sincerely believe that next time, we can win! We were able to add to our 7% gain in 2015, not only by Laura working tirelessly, but in large part to the tremendous efforts ‘on the ground’ by so many and the strong sense of comradeship which was ever present at all events. Thank you so much to every single person that helped canvassing, run stalls, told their friends and family why to vote Labour, gave encouragement to our members on the doorstep, supported Labour on Social Media (Facebook and Twitter), and of course last but by no means least, every single person that gave Laura their vote!

We must now concentrate on maintaining the obvious energy and enthusiasm throughout the Party, especially given the unpredictable period ahead.
