Kevin Pardy

Hello my name is Kevin Pardy. I have represented the Division of Sundorne since 2013 and have lived in Sundorne for thirty nine years. I am married to Jill a nurse of forty two years, I have three grown up children all of whom attended the three schools in the Sundorne area. I’m a retired firefighter having served thirty years with Shropshire Fire Service, before joining the fire service I served an apprenticeship and worked for Rolls-Royce Motors on Whitchurch Road.
During my eight years as a councillor I’ve supported many individuals with various problems they’ve encountered. I’ve campaigned successfully to prevent building on the Severn Pitches, campaigned for a safer roundabout on Sundorne Road adjacent to the medical centre (works starts after the vaccination programme), I’ve also worked to improve the canal path and that was also a success. Finally we will see the Moston Road recreation area improved with shrubs, seating and a BMX track.
My main concerns are the vulnerable in our society, the elderly, the young, the sick, the homeless.
In counciI I work to improve mental health services for children and sit on many committees working for improvement. I also work to improve facilities for looked after children (children in care) chairing a committee and sitting on others.
Locally I want to continue working with the police in their efforts to reduce antisocial behaviour. I will continue to support our local schools as an active governor and work for improved road safety in our school areas. I will work to make Sundorne a better place to live.
Remember I live here whatever effects you, effects me. This is my home.
Over the past eight years I have represented many individuals with a variety of problems including problems with social housing landlords, service companies which include gas, electric, water, broadband providers and of course problems with the local councils.
I’ve worked to improve the canal path so that it is accessible to all people, I’ve worked for safety improvements to the Sundorne Road medical centre roundabout and work will be starting as soon as the vaccination process is over.
I successfully campaigned to prevent the Severn football
